Chen Lin waited near the Glazed Secret Realm for almost another month. Just as he began to suspect something had gone wrong inside, creatures finally flew out of the Light Orb again.
And this time, quite a few emerged-several dozen in all.
Most had monstrous forms. Only a scant handful were humanoid. None lingered after emerging; they immediately scattered in every direction.
Chen Lin swept his gaze over them.
He immediately headed toward one of the humanoid creatures.
A monstrous appearance did not necessarily mean someone was not a cultivator, but a humanoid offered better odds. Maintaining human form also suggested stronger resistance to abyssal energy and a more intact mind.
That would make communication easier.
Chen Lin chose a woman who was snowy white from head to toe. Her bearing was exceptional, and her beauty was stunning, but neither was why he chose her. She simply happened to be flying in his direction.

Worried that the shield might be too weak, he also activated the Star-Swallowing Divine Frog. This treasure possessed a dominator characteristic. Although suppressed, it was still barely usable.
His worries proved unfounded.
The white light's attack was easily neutralized.
The Soul Shield failed to hold, however, wavering twice before breaking apart.
