The Round Disc had actually changed, filling Chen Lin with delighted surprise.
He glanced around.
Seeing that no one was paying attention to him, he straightened the Round Disc and carefully examined its needles.
There were three needles in total.
They were roughly the same length, colored red, green, and blue respectively.
The red needle was now swaying slightly.
No matter how he turned the Round Disc, the red needle pointed steadily in one direction, while the green and blue needles turned along with the disc.
After a moment's thought, Chen Lin roughly understood why.
This was probably some sort of compass treasure.
By any normal reasoning, it should guide him toward Treasure Chests, and the different needle colors very likely represented their grades.
Still, he would have to test it to know whether he was right.
Chen Lin turned the Round Disc facedown in his hand.
Acting as though nothing had happened, he moved to the edge and took out several other treasures, pretending to experiment with them before he began testing the Round Disc.
A few people looked his way during this.
Jin Sanyuan, in particular, glanced at him several times with a faint sneer.
He seemed to be mocking Chen Lin's childish behavior.
Chen Lin ignored him, pretending not to notice. Once Jin Sanyuan stopped paying attention, he turned the Round Disc again and observed it.
Sure enough.
The red needle still pointed in the same direction, while the other two showed no reaction.
But the Round Disc itself emitted no fluctuations. The others could only sense him using internal energy, not detect anything unusual about the disc.
