Yue Yingxian's answer made Chen Lin frown.
He had also looked into it. After surviving a formless tribulation, one's strength would undergo certain changes. But neither he nor anyone close to him had ever faced such a tribulation, so his knowledge was limited.
"You mean the formless tribulation is still there?"
Yue Yingxian fell silent for a moment.
She said hesitantly, "I'm not too sure myself. This is very strange. Normally, with something like a dao tribulation, you either pass or you don't. I've never encountered a situation like ours, where it seems we passed, yet also seems we didn't."
"Did you obtain the Wordless Celestial Book, Brother Chen?"
Zhou Anshi suddenly spoke up from beside them.
Something stirred in Chen Lin's mind.
He looked at him and asked, "Are you saying my formless tribulation was suppressed by the Wordless Celestial Book, Fellow Daoist Zhou?"
"It's possible."
Zhou Anshi nodded.
Then he explained, "After accepting Qu Zixian's employment, I specifically looked into the legends surrounding the Wordless Celestial Book. Supposedly, besides granting a supreme inheritance, the book contains a world of its own. Perhaps it can suppress the rules of a formless tribulation."
After speaking, he looked at Chen Lin with envy.
He continued, "That ghost face that appeared out of nowhere earlier could hide inside the Wordless Celestial Book in the Cave after gaining its recognition, and could employ endlessly shifting methods. That should have been the work of its rules."
Chen Lin rubbed his chin.
What Zhou Anshi said was possible.
Given the Shadow Scholar's reputation and abilities, suppressing an Eternity cultivator's formless tribulation was hardly an outlandish feat.
But in that case, did the tribulation count as gone, or did it still exist?
Would it stack onto the next one?
"What do you think, Fellow Daoist Yue?"
