"A rainbow?"
Chen Lin exclaimed in surprise at the rainbow that had suddenly appeared.
Then something occurred to him.
He immediately rose into the air, spread his Soul Wings, and climbed steadily higher to survey the area.
He discovered that the mountain range stretched on without end. No matter which direction he looked, he could not see its edge. There were no buildings around, either, only this solitary pagoda.
On the ground directly beneath the rainbow, something seemed to be glowing, painting the entire horizon crimson.
As the glow gradually faded, the whole space grew darker.
The rainbow, meanwhile, grew brighter.
"If this is the Rainbow Continent, that should be Sunset Lake."
Fengxue flew up as well and spoke as she looked toward the glow.
"Then let's go take a look."
Chen Lin felt a little hopeful.
If he could find a Dawn Stone this easily, there would finally be a glimmer of hope for his life task.
The two set off, flying toward the glow.
An hour later.
Two figures landed beside the pagoda, both looking bewildered.
"It seems to be an array."
Chen Lin frowned as he spoke.
"Possibly. I haven't studied much of the Way of Formations, so I can't make anything out. But it does make sense. If anyone could come and go freely, nothing in the pagoda would have been left."
Fengxue glanced at the half-open Pagoda Gate.
"Let's go inside again. Perhaps the mechanism is in there."
Chen Lin pondered briefly.
He nodded. "Then go inside and take a look first. I'll examine this mountain range and see whether I can find anything else unusual. An array this intricate couldn't have formed out of thin air."
"All right."
