Chen Lin stood behind Lu Ming, looking out into the void beyond the Grand Formation.
It was empty, without a single thing in sight.
But through the Heaven-Opening Eye, a little bird perched on a dead branch, constantly preening its black feathers.
The bird was only palm-sized, and the dead branch was just a short length of wood.
When it stayed still, it looked like a wooden carving and was very difficult to notice.
There were no other creatures around it.
Inside the Grand Formation, however, a feather drifted through the air, carrying a peculiar rhythm. With every sway, the formation flickered faintly, yet no energy fluctuations emanated from it.
"That bird is the Capital Sky Manifestation God King?"
Chen Lin spoke in surprise.
The being that had caused such an enormous commotion in Nana's plane had turned out to be nothing more than a bird.
Still, this did fit the characteristics of Nightmare Realm creatures. The more complete an animal creature's form was, the stronger it would be. He wondered what rules this bird commanded.
The Nightmare Realm was a branch of the Bizarre Kingdom.
Presumably, their characteristics were much the same.
"That's him. Don't let his unremarkable appearance fool you. He's already killed three Dominators, including an elder of the Thousand Towers Alliance."
A voice sounded from behind them.
Chen Lin turned around.
He saw a man whose face was so crimson that it looked ready to drip blood.
"Heh."
Lu Ming also turned around.
He chuckled. "Weren't you boasting earlier that a little bird was nothing to fear, Island Lord Lu? Why has your attitude changed so quickly?"
