A cloud of blood mist appeared out of thin air.
As it dispersed, Chen Lin's bedraggled figure emerged, his face full of frustration.
"It really did collapse. What a cursed year."
He could not help grumbling.
Then he surveyed his surroundings warily while taking out another Outspoken Bird Talisman.
He had used the previous one while passing through the Space Rift. Without that talisman, he would probably have died in the space storm. Unfortunately, he still could not craft them himself, and this was his last one.

The moment he took out the talisman, a dark figure lunged at him.
It bared its fangs and brandished its claws, radiating a terrifying aura.
Chen Lin flashed away, but he was still a step too late. His body suddenly felt lighter- the monster had torn off his entire arm, and blood gushed out like a fountain.
