Chen Lin looked at the newcomer, but did not recognize him.
"What can I do for you?"
In a place like this, people generally did not approach others for idle conversation unless they knew them or needed something.
"My name is Zhu Jing. I would like to ask you for a favor, fellow Daoist."
As he spoke, the Skinny Man took out half a piece of red jade and offered it to Chen Lin with both hands.
Chen Lin studied it in puzzlement.
Suddenly, something occurred to him. He touched his Storage Ring, rummaged through it, and took out an identical half-piece of red jade.
He placed the two together.
They fit perfectly.
"Yes, these were split from the same piece of jade. What do you need help with? Let me hear it."
Chen Lin nodded as he asked.
He had completely forgotten about this half-piece of red jade.
It came from a deal he had made with the proprietor of the Ruyi Pavilion outside the Extreme Sword Sect, back in Nana's life plane.
The man had helped him enter the Extreme Sword Sect. In return, Chen Lin had promised that if someone brought him the other half of the red jade in the future, he would do them one favor within his capabilities.
He had never expected someone to actually appear before him with it after so long, and he could not help feeling suspicious.
This jade had no long-distance sensing function, nor did it emit any distinctive energy fluctuations. Since the man had found him, he presumably knew who Chen Lin was. But so many years had passed, and this was something from a life task. Such a coincidence should have been very unlikely.
"I would like you to help me obtain an Exquisite Treasure Chest."
