Chen Lin frowned at the newcomers.
There were five of them.
The middle-aged man in the lead exuded an imposing aura. His cultivation was at least third-rank Dominator, and might already have reached the fourth rank.
Among the other four, a green-faced young man of an alien race also had Dominator cultivation. The rest were all at the quasi-dominator tier, but their auras were peculiar.
They clearly were no ordinary cultivators.
"You two have been conscripted. Come with me!"
The group approached. The middle-aged man looked Chen Lin up and down, then swept his gaze over Blind Girl's exquisite face before speaking in a deep voice.
"Get lost!"
Chen Lin rebuked him coldly.
Then, without another word, he took the God-Slaying Staff in hand. The Yin-Yang runic inscriptions spun rapidly, and the power law erupted.
He struck with the staff!
His senses were extraordinarily keen.
There was clearly something wrong with the way the man looked at Blind Girl. Conscription was merely a pretext, and he probably had ill intentions. Since that was the case, this was the perfect chance to test his strength after his ascension.
"How dare you!"
The middle-aged man froze for a moment, seemingly not expecting Chen Lin to attack without any warning. Then he flew into a rage.
But that moment of hesitation left him a step behind.
