Hearing Chen Lin's shout, the fat man immediately responded. But instead of coming out to help, he started climbing the high platform, trying to reach the top.

The man's intentions were obvious: he wanted Chen Lin to stand in front.

If Chen Lin couldn't hold them off, the fat man could still hold out a while atop the platform. Only two Winged Angels remained now. Neither the alien soldiers nor the gamblers of the opposing faction could fly, so they couldn't threaten the Big-Headed Bird King in the short term.
Besides, the Big-Headed Bird King wasn't alone.
