Divine Bead

The seven little figures spread out in different directions, staring at Chen Lin and the young man in white.

"Let me decide how we split them up. I'll eat that skinny one in white first. I haven't had meat in three years, and there's not a drop of oil in my belly. I need a taste of flesh."

The little figure in yellow licked his lips as he eyed the young man in white, practically drooling.

"No! I haven't had meat in ages either. I should go first!"

Another little figure immediately objected.

Then, eyes gleaming, he looked at Chen Lin. "Unless you eat the skinny one and give up your share of this exquisite ingredient. Then I'll agree."

"I agree too!"

"Same here!"

The other little figures chimed in, as though Chen Lin's body were Tang Seng Flesh that could grant them eternal life if they ate it.

The little figure in yellow grew conflicted, struggling to choose.

The young man in white looked terrified. He edged closer to Chen Lin again, until he was almost pressed against him.

Chen Lin paid him no mind. He was thinking about how to deal with them.

From the look of it, running was out of the question.

These things could travel through the Void. When they had intercepted him earlier, he had not even seen how they appeared. If he fled and showed weakness, he would only stir their ferocity.

"From what you know, what would make these monsters wary?"

Chen Lin sent the young man in white a voice transmission.
