On the way to the ceremony grounds, Chen Lin asked Murong Qing.

Compared to Lan Ruxue, he was closer to Murong Qing, and she was easier to talk to. Lan Ruxue's presence was far too imposing, and her temperament was cold. She never gave him much opportunity to speak.

"Yes. He is the leading figure of the Soulless Sect's current generation. He advanced to the Void Refinement Realm in just two hundred years. Quite remarkable."

Murong Qing glanced at Chen Lin, then continued, "But you needn't worry. You were merely carrying out your duties. He won't do anything to you over that. The Soulless Sect mostly operates in the Northern Star Realm, and has few members here in the Southern Star Realm."

Hearing this, Chen Lin realized that Han Qingxue had already reported the matter to her.

After some thought, he asked no further questions, nor did he request her help in dealing with Qiu Musheng.

That was unrealistic.

Not only was his relationship with her nowhere near that close, but even if they had been on better terms, she could not possibly risk offending the Soulless Sect to help him.

Even Lan Ruxue would not agree to it.

Although the Moon Reflection Palace had risen with the tide, it was still far behind the Soulless Sect.

The Soulless Sect was the foremost power in the Northern Star Realm. The Soulless Monarch was exceptionally mysterious, and rumor had it that he might also be an enlightened master. Only Wei Duxing of Central City could firmly hold the upper hand over him.

Going to the Central Continent was still the safest option.
