The people sent by the All-Direction Trading Firm were all professionals.

They first inspected the surrounding waters and sent several cultivators down to examine the seabed. Chen Lin had already explained the island's sheer-sided shape beforehand, however, so although everyone was surprised, they did not dwell on it.

Islands were simply mountains in the sea. There were plenty of peaks on land that looked as though they had been hewn by blades and axes, so their existence in the ocean was nothing strange. Besides, with so much gold essence stone here, they could not possibly give up even if something was unusual.

Once the inspection was complete, they brought out specialized tools and began mining at full speed.

The mining progressed quickly.

As they worked, they packed everything into large Storage Bags.

In less than half an hour, they had mined away almost all the island above the waterline, leaving only a section in the middle.

"Chief, there's something unusual!"

Just then, a deacon overseeing the mining suddenly called out, making Chen Lin's expression shift slightly.

"Unusual" was the last word he wanted to hear. He immediately went on guard, but nothing happened. The island's central portion was simply too hard to mine.

Zhang Zhengan and Huang Ying tested it themselves, but neither could budge it in the slightest.

Strange expressions appeared on everyone's faces.

"Mine around it first! Clear away all the surrounding ore!"

Zhang Zhengan's voice carried a hint of excitement.

Chen Lin stroked his chin and focused his gaze on the center as well. At the same time, he put away his Spirit Boat and retreated some distance.

More than a hundred cultivators worked together, clearing away the island bit by bit until the central section finally revealed its true form.

It was an enormous golden pillar
