The sky was dark.
The desolate ground was densely covered with enormous insects.
At the very front stood several monsters as tall as towers, hideous and terrifying, radiating powerful auras.
Yet these towering monsters now bowed their heads, gazing submissively at a short, chubby puppet before them.
No, they were gazing at the inconspicuous frog perched on the puppet's head.
"Croak!"
Frog stood majestically atop Fat Tiger's head, thoroughly satisfied with the sight before him.
"Good, good. Now this army is grand enough to match my royal bearing. Still, it falls a little short if we're to clear out that fellow's realm and turn it into my kingdom."
Frog spoke in human language and rubbed his chin with one claw, mimicking a human gesture.
At some point, a glittering golden scepter had appeared in his other claw, and he had even donned a red cape.
"Croak! Soldiers!"
Frog puffed out his belly and began addressing his troops with an arrogant air.
Whether the insects before him understood or not, he reveled in the thrill of commanding thousands of troops, shouting himself hoarse. "Follow your king into battle! Once I establish my kingdom, I'll appoint every one of you to a grand office!"
"Especially you lot." He pointed his scepter at the particularly enormous insect monsters. "You'll all receive noble titles. Earl at the very least-no, you're my founding veterans. Marquis at the very least!"
"Serve your king well, and you'll have no shortage of rewards. As for those insects who refuse to know their place, I'll clear them out today so they won't hold us back when we march to war!"
After his speech, Frog swept his scepter forward and bellowed, "Form ranks! March!"
After a brief commotion, the swarm actually formed ranks and charged fiercely ahead!
