The night was dark, the wind high.

After looking for a while, he found no signs that anyone had passed through.

The hidden passage was long and winding. He walked for nearly an hour before reaching an extremely narrow opening.
Squeezing through it, he entered a vast underground space.
Looking back, he saw that the opening was cleverly positioned, set diagonally overhead. It looked like nothing more than an ordinary fissure in the mountain.
Without examining it carefully or entering it in person, no one would imagine that it concealed a passage.
He first committed the surrounding scenery to memory so he could find it again on his return. If he used earth escape to leave directly and surfaced in their main camp, things would certainly get lively.
This place resembled a limestone cavern, with numerous winding passages leading in every direction.
