Chen Lin arrived at the inn and paid for a full year's stay.
Spirit stones were not used here. Everything was bartered, and even lodging was paid for with goods. To avoid drawing attention, he used a piece of metal ore.
While browsing the shops, he had noticed that metal ore was the most commonly traded commodity, with a moderate value. Other goods were much rarer.
He had also learned what those tree stumps were used for. They were actually materials for making weapons!
Moreover, weapons made from these stumps were far from ordinary. They could injure bizarre creatures like the Woodcutter, whereas ordinary weapons and even magical tools could not.

As such, divine weapons were extremely valuable here. It was no wonder cultivators were willing to risk digging up tree stumps. Dangerous as it was, the rewards for success were considerable.
That did not mean the conventional treasures cultivators used had no market, however. Although those treasures had no effect on the Tianluo race, they were hardly useless. They could not kill monsters, but they could kill people.
Conversely, divine weapons were only useful against monsters and posed little threat to cultivators.
