Today, I sensed Mo Buyan's low spirits. Almost without thinking, I glanced at the cigarette on the table, took another one, and inhaled deeply.
"Phew..."
I blew out a cloud of acrid smoke, stood up, and went back to my room. Mo Buyan didn't speak to me again that night. Maybe my decision had put him in a really bad mood.
But I didn't want things to keep going this way.
Early the next morning, I sorted out my gear. I put on a clean, practical pair of denim shorts and a shirt. The weather around here stayed like this all year round, even in winter.
Of course, I wasn't dressing this way to seduce men, as Xu Lin had suggested. I just thought it would be easier to move around in.
Without trousers restricting me, I could turn my legs freely in any direction.
So I went with denim shorts and a black shirt. Then I put on my shoulder holster.
I'd bought the holster at the market a few days ago for three bucks. It was a pair of underarm holsters, and I put the two Glock pistols I'd taken into them. I also had a hip holster for the M500. It was made of cowhide and could hold six rounds on the outside. Wei Ping had told me not to show the gun off, but I figured nobody would notice it in the holster, right?
I brought ten magazines and, while I was at it, ten extra rounds for the M500. As for where to put them... well, there weren't many places on me where I could carry things, so I shoved all ten rounds down the front of my shirt. It felt a little chilly, but at least it saved a lot of space.
