I said to the little girl, then stood up. Only then did I realize I'd been barefoot this whole time. Wild Wolf seemed to notice, too.
He turned around and took a pair of slippers from the cabinet.
"Put these on for now... Are you cold?"

I shook my head, slipped on the slippers, and stood up.
"Let's go... Get some exercise and walk off the meal."

Wild Wolf nodded, wiped his mouth with a napkin, and followed me.
