It felt kind of ridiculous.
"Hiss~"
Gin-san slowed as he approached and came to a stop in front of me. His enormous
head hovered above me,
then slowly lowered until that huge, slit-pupiled eye was right before my face. Though he was cold-blooded, I could still sense the joy in
his gaze.
"Long time no see..."
Looking at the colossal Gin-san, I didn't even know what to say. It had been eleven years... no, twelve
years since we'd last met, hadn't it?
"Hiss~"
Gin-san heard me and let out a delighted hiss. Then his massive body shot upright, and
he started... wriggling and wriggling.
The ground... shook and shook along with him~
Rumble!
Gin-san writhed, his enormous tail sweeping back and forth across the ground. The earth trembled, and the rumbling
went on and on. Gin-san didn't seem to notice
at all. He even started whipping his tail around harder. It struck a nearby hill
and crushed a chunk of it flat. My eye twitched at the sight.
Just how tough was this guy's body?
"Okay, okay, Gin-san~"
His head was so high up, at least fifty meters above me, that I had no choice but to crane my neck and
shout. If he kept wriggling like this, I'd
be fine, but the couple down below would be scared to death.
"Hiss~?"
Maybe it was because Gin-san had spent so many years around humans, but there was emotion in his voice now. It must have been a result of his
evolution, allowing even a cold-blooded creature like him
to understand feelings.
I watched him slowly lower his head. Hiding myself was going to be difficult now. Gin-san was enormous, and
he was the giant of this battlefield. By the time
