Although Irene didn't seem to care much for humans, she actually had very few friends. Even fewer were people she could talk to.
Besides me, there was probably only Long Bixian, so I believed she'd protect him.
And Long Bixian wasn't the kind of person who would stand by and watch others die. So in the end, the entire population of Jingzhou City might well be rescued by the insect race.
Of course, that was only if the mountain was damaged.
If it wasn't, then there shouldn't be much of a problem.

I didn't need to worry about what was happening over there anymore. Now I was worried about here.
At least Irene was in charge over there. She was far more capable than I was, and saving an entire city shouldn't be a problem for her.
Things were much more troublesome on my end. I had no idea where we were, and there was no telling when this storm would stop. For now, all I could do was take it one day at a time.
Looking at the raging wind and rain outside, I had to admit I was a little worried. This typhoon was probably the strongest in human history. With the weather changing so drastically,
it could easily upset the ecological balance. The Earth couldn't take much more of this.
After all, there were vast stretches of desert outside.
No one knew what might happen in weather like this. It was the unknown that worried me.
