Unlimited Blade Works: Spoon.
"Ahem, ahem..."
I cleared my throat twice. No one was left to ask why there had been a spoon there, but just in case, I
sent an electromagnetic pulse sweeping
through the area. I couldn't let that embarrassment get out.
That was close. Thank goodness I'd reacted quickly and killed them all in one go. Otherwise, word might have spread that the Empress used a
spoon as a weapon.
I'd never have lived that down.
I stepped over the bullet casings scattered across the ground. The magnetic field around me had stopped every shot. None had even made it within
a meter of me before falling
to the ground. They had returned fire, but only with a few thousand rounds.
So bullets lay all around me, and I had to watch my step. In heels, a twisted ankle would be
embarrassing enough on its own.
I finally made it out of the ring of bullets and into the middle of the bodies. There, I found the young man who had asked that question
and looked into his eyes, still wide
in death. More than twenty different bladed weapons were sticking out of him...
Ahem. I would never admit I'd lost my temper and used all those weapons to silence him. After all, look around...
I lifted my head. Some of the others had weapons stuck in them, while some had none. Even those who did had
only one at most. My subconscious had calculated
the paths of all those weapons. I couldn't consciously handle the calculations needed to control so many floating objects with electromagnetic force. Most people could barely focus on two,
and even with all my concentration, I could only just make one weapon float.
My subconscious, on the other hand, had computational power
