If a marine biologist had been there, they would have been stunned to discover that nearly every kind of sea creature in the Pacific,
at least every kind they could name,
was present.
Countless sea creatures were chasing a dragon less than fifty meters long... Heaven knew what she had done to provoke them.
Fang Yuxuan was in terrible shape by then. Her dragon tail had been thrashing nonstop for days, and the strain on her
body had left her skin and
bones. Friction had stripped scales from much of her waist, her right claw could barely move, and her dragon body
swayed weakly. Even so,
her fierce will to survive kept her swimming, swimming, and swimming. She did not even notice the continental shelf ahead
until she crashed
straight into it!
Boom!!
A tremendous crash sounded beneath the sea. Fang Yuxuan raised her dazed head and saw the entire seabed rising before her.
"The continental shelf!?"
At the sight, hope flared in her eyes just as she had been about to despair. She scrambled up onto the continental
shelf, all three working claws scrabbling as she fled
madly toward land.
Some of the enormous creatures behind her could not reach the continental shelf. The three-thousand-meter-long blue whale,
an enormous oval nearly two thousand meters tall
even upright, could go no farther. Though furious, it could only watch helplessly as the little dragon kept crawling forward.
The other creatures passed the whale and continued the pursuit.
In fact, they were chasing Fang Yuxuan not merely because she had provoked them. More importantly, the creatures had sensed
that eating her would
allow them to evolve.
The genes she carried were far beyond those of ordinary creatures.
That was why these sea creatures had pursued her for two days and nights without
