Back in the car, she...
Retrieved the katana Yuxuan had dropped.
"You dropped this..."
Yuxuan took the sword and inspected its blade. Fortunately, it wasn't damaged. She hadn't even used it, really. Her subconscious had told her she knew how to use it, probably because she hadn't considered anything else.
Still, it was enough to defend herself in a pinch.
She nodded and thanked Xiaodao, then glanced back at the soldiers gathered around Griffin. After a moment's thought, she walked over to Griffin and patted its furry,

"Go on. Don't stray too far from me, and don't let these people see you again."
"ROAR!"
Griffin gave a high, soaring cry, then spread its wings and vanished from everyone's sight. But Yuxuan could sense its exact location through electromagnetic perception, and that was enough.
After sending Griffin away, Yuxuan returned to Xiaodao's car under the strange gazes of the soldiers.
Her body wasn't tired today. Even now, she could feel abundant energy coursing through her. But... her mind was exhausted.
She glanced at Xiaodao beside her.
"Tell Ross to keep going. If anything comes up that you can't handle, call me. I'm going to sleep for a while."
Then, ignoring Xiaodao's baffled expression, she pulled a blanket over herself and fell asleep.
Xiaodao relayed her words to Ross. Ross nodded and glanced at the car. Just now... the woman who had transformed into an angel had been in there.
There was no denying the power of faith. There was a reason religion held such an important place in human society.
At least Captain Ross was a Christian, and now a living angel was right there... He really wanted to go over and pray, but then
he thought of the girl's personality and gave up on the idea.
"Understood."
