The power pylons I had abandoned were ruined.
Their structures were beyond repair. Almost every pylon had been reduced to parts, and some pieces had vanished
altogether. I didn't know whether the bugs
had eaten them.
But that was no longer a problem. As long as I was here, I could extend the power grid.
With that thought, I turned and flew over the tank units trying to force their way through the swarm. The
electromagnetic current hooked around my hands followed me
to their position.
Along the way, every bug I passed, whether on the ground or in the air, was electrocuted
and charred. The tanks below stopped advancing, and all the soldiers
stared at me.
"What are you looking at? Install the pylons, now!"
I shouted down at them. Only then did the soldiers snap out of it and hurriedly start installing the pylons.
Once I thought of this solution, installing the grid was no longer a problem. What mattered now
was whether the troops behind us could all enter
this protected corridor in time.
I had no way to ask how things were going back there, which made me anxious. Both my hands were charged with electromagnetic energy, and I didn't dare touch
the radio at my waist.
One touch would probably make it explode.
All I could do was hope Hao Zhong kept the group steady and prevented a panic. And hope Shen Ming could make the bugs'
attacks less ferocious.
After that, things became much simpler. I pulled the power grid through the air while the people below installed pylons. Of course, they couldn't
see the electromagnetic current in my hands.
Even I could barely make out its ripples, like air being distorted.
The grid stretched farther and farther, and the installation went faster and
