It... seemed to be some kind of creature called a "cow."
It looked delicious.
But I figured... with my skinny arms and legs, I probably couldn't take down something that big. Better not provoke it.
After thinking it over, I turned and walked down the slope beside me, away from the cliff. I admired the beautiful scenery around me as I went.
The sunlight felt warm and comfortable on my skin. Aside from that cow, I saw other creatures, too—pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, and all sorts of others. Every now and then,
I spotted some more dangerous creatures, but they were a long way off. I didn't dare go near them, and they paid me no mind.
Maybe I was just too small and scrawny?
From up there, I'd seen a huge city not far away. I didn't know what a city was, but somehow I knew it was a place where people lived. And I was a person, too, so in this unfamiliar place, instinct urged me toward the city.
The scenery along the way was truly beautiful. The grass barely reached my ankles, and huge creatures and small ones wandered together in perfect harmony.
The air was fresh all around me. Breathing it in made me feel a little more at ease.
