Only after moving away the entire former site of Yaochi, complete with the West Emperor Formation, did Adam finally head to the edge of the universe to undergo his tribulation.
Two weeks later, Adam returned through the Stone Gate, carrying three Imperial Weapons newly added to the family, his belly full of anger and questions.
"What the hell is going on with Emperor Lord? Didn't he say he was coming to kill me?"
Adam could not make sense of it. He had been on edge throughout this entire ordeal, holding back the whole time as he waited for Emperor Lord to appear.
Later, to keep Emperor Lord from being too afraid to show himself, he had even deliberately suffered severe injuries beneath the lightning tribulation, making it look as though even his origin had been damaged.
Yet even so, Emperor Lord had not appeared. Adam had remained there recuperating for three days after the tribulation ended, but Emperor Lord still never came.
Unable to wait any longer, Adam grabbed the three Imperial Weapons that had been detained after fighting in place of their Emperor, cursing all the way back to the Northern Dipper.
"Could Emperor Lord have gotten lost? No, that can't be right. Emperor Lord was still among the Great Emperor phantoms this time. Based on what happened last time, there's no way he couldn't locate me."
Adam scratched his head.
"But this Emperor Lord phantom was much more rigid than the last one... Could something have happened to Emperor Lord while he was on his way to find me?"
