It was simple. Gold did not grow on trees. Ordinary Ghost Controllers had plenty of ways to suppress ghosts, so why resort to such an extravagant arrangement?
The Ghost Controllers who had been sealed within Golden Statues were all the foremost and most powerful Ghost Controllers or wrathful ghosts of that era. They possessed not only bizarre abilities, but terrifying supernatural intensity as well.
Curse Adam was now facing five opponents alone. Once he triggered their counterattacks, being suppressed was only natural.
Supernatural forces descended one after another through the confrontation: lightning falling from above, bloody imprints appearing from nowhere, sand like blades, water stains spreading beneath his feet, limbs burrowing out from inside his body...
In almost an instant, Curse Adam was torn apart by multiple supernatural forces.
Yet Adam, the curse's host, was unharmed. As the outward manifestation of the curse, Curse Adam naturally could not die, and those supernatural forces could not continue spreading upward to Adam.
Thus, they could only remain stuck at this stage, forever unable to reach the reality of killing Curse Adam.
