After hearing Diga's explanation of Nason Island, the Otherworldly People from small clans and sects were utterly astonished.
Beyond that, they vaguely felt that it seemed somewhat familiar.
A refuge for people who could no longer survive in countries around the world; a place beyond anyone's jurisdiction once they entered, acknowledged by all sides yet rejected and never accepted...
"Isn't that just the Quanzhen Sect?"
Diga was taken aback. He truly had not thought of it that way before, but now that someone had said it, it did seem rather similar. At the very least, the outside world viewed them in somewhat the same way.
If the Quanzhen Sect was the garbage dump of China's Otherworldly People, then Nason Island was practically the garbage dump of Otherworldly People across the entire world.
Of course, the people of Nason Island probably did not see themselves that way... but then again, neither did the Quanzhen Sect.
"There are still some differences."
As the former head of the Tang Sect, Yang Lie knew of Nason Island's existence. After all, the Tang Sect had once made its living taking money to take lives, so it had naturally crossed paths many times with this ancient escape route for Otherworldly People.
Sometimes, after learning through various channels that the Tang Sect had accepted a contract on their lives, and lacking the confidence to evade or withstand the Tang Sect's assassination, they would flee to Nason Island.
The Tang Sect, meanwhile, had to intercept and kill them before they reached Nason Island. Usually, the timing had to be even earlier—before they set sail.
After all, the Tang Sect was not made up of immortals who could roam the Northern Sea by morning and reach Cangwu by night.
