Any spell he knew? Did the Levitation Charm count?
After hearing Professor Snape's words, Harry felt like everything had gone dark before his eyes. But Professor Snape paid him no mind. He led them onto the dueling platform, flicked his cloak, and stepped aside.
"You may bow to each other."
With a malicious smile, Draco bowed to Harry, then immediately raised his hand and fired off a curse.
"Serpensortia!"
A black snake dropped from the smoke onto the floor and slowly slithered toward Harry. Harry froze in place, staring wide-eyed at the snake.
"This seems to be some kind of summoning spell... but what use is summoning a snake?"
Uther tilted his head as he stroked his chin. He could tell it was a real snake.
But even if it was a trained snake... it was still just a snake. Freezing Charm, Incarcerous, Petrificus Totalus... any simple spell could deal with it.
This spell could only bully young wizards who had not learned many spells. Training a snake not to attack the caster would take considerable effort, and it would be impossible to train it to lock onto and attack a target. Its practical combat value was truly worrying.
The facts proved that while Serpensortia was not particularly useful, it had indeed intimidated Harry.
