"Don't be in such a hurry~"
Adam smiled and conjured a Reins of the Rider King around Hughgel's neck. He leaped up onto Hughgel's back, making him sink slightly beneath his weight.
"What are you doing?"
Hughgel was startled.
"I told you just now. Take me to Oisast."
Adam said it as though it were only natural.
Now that he had a dragon, wouldn't it be a terrible waste not to use it as a mount?
Before, he had acted in his true body. Whenever he needed to go somewhere, he either teleported directly or used some even faster means of travel. Now that he was an avatar with less abundant magic power, he naturally had to be more frugal.
Besides, he had never ridden a dragon before...
Hughgel's expression immediately became incredibly complicated at Adam's reply.
"Fine, you dragged me to Oisast, but you actually want to ride me all the way there? Doesn't your conscience hurt? I'm just a young dragon who can't even fly yet!"
"Conscience? What consc... Wait, you said you're still a young dragon?"
Adam looked down at Hughgel, who was as large as an adult Peruvian Vipertooth.
"How old are you?"
"I'll be five in three months."
Adam's eyes widened.
"You call that four years old?"
Though surprised, Adam could tell Hughgel was not lying... Well, it seemed the dragons of the Harry Potter World had left him with some misguided stereotypes.
Adam then fell silent for a while.
Although having a conscience was the greatest taboo in the mage profession, he had to admit that answer gave him a phantom ache in what little conscience he had.
Still... a four-year-old dragon.
"No wonder you're so poor."
"Pfft—"
Adam's unconscious mutter was like a sharp sword piercing Hughgel's heart, and a soul-crushing pain spread
