Adam held a piece of genuine yakisoba-flavored okonomiyaki and stared at it for a while, unable to find a place to take a bite.

Okonomiyaki was basically a vegetable pancake, except the ingredients were sprinkled directly on top.

It started as a pancake topped with chopped vegetables and sauce, then evolved so that people could add whatever extras they liked. That was why it was also called okonomiyaki—add whatever you liked—and was known as Japanese pizza.

Seaweed original flavor, thick omelet and cheese, octopus, shrimp tempura... Adam could accept all of those flavors naturally enough.

But yakisoba flavor—that was basically eating stir-fried noodles wrapped in a pancake. This was his first time seeing carbs paired with carbs.

"Isn't that perfectly normal? Besides, yakisoba doesn't count as a staple food. The class next door is even selling yakisoba bread..."

Yukito looked at the okonomiyaki in Adam's hand, seemingly wanting to say something but holding back. In the end, he asked:

"Want a bottle of Ramune Soda?"

Yukito's class stall sold traditional Japanese drinks.

"Mm, I'll take one. You can have this."

Adam handed the okonomiyaki to Yukito. He simply could not get used to eating carbs with carbs; yakisoba was a staple food as far as he was concerned.

"Right, what was your class performing again?"

Taking the Ramune Soda from Yukito, Adam copied what the others did and pressed down on the bottle cap. The marble dropped into the neck of the bottle, kicking up a dense burst of bubbles.

"Ummm..."

Taste-wise, Ramune Soda was just ordinary sweet carbonated water. So it really was all about the packaging, then?

"Our class is putting on Cinderella."

At that, Yukito could not help smiling. He pointed at himself.
