He could more or less understand why it was a good thing that not everything went as expected. On a smaller scale, an unchanging future would be utterly dull. On a larger scale, if everything went as expected, it meant the future held neither change nor hope.

But the question was...

"Did Lord Lao originally have the ability to make everything in the future go exactly as he expected?"

Since Lord Lao used "Lord Lao" to refer to the one at the center of the Sea of Worlds, Adam naturally had to use another form of address for the Lord Lao himself to avoid confusion.

Returning to his question, beyond the Sea of Worlds were other concepts that tugged at and influenced Order, while within the Sea of Worlds, Lord Lao was not the sole supreme being.

Under such circumstances, could Lord Lao truly make everything in the future go exactly as expected?
