Grandmaster, When Will I Become Immortal?

The Grand Celestial Art was a cultivation method created by Grandmaster Subhuti. It securely preserved the Three Treasures, cultivated both nature and life, and with diligent practice, could preserve one's looks, extend one's lifespan, and offer the promise of immortality.

In particular, Grandmaster Subhuti was versed in all three teachings. Not only did the Grand Celestial Art possess the mystery of understanding one thing and grasping a hundred, but at advanced stages, one could become a Great Luo Deity or an Enlightened Golden Immortal. It all depended on whether the cultivator followed the Dao or Buddhism.

Setting aside utilitarian speculations about sharing credit, Sun Wukong was the only scripture seeker besides Golden Cicada to be directly granted a Buddhahood. The Grand Celestial Art's ability to seamlessly convert cultivation into a Buddhist realm deserved much of the credit.

The Eight Nine Arcane Art, meanwhile, was the foremost divine protection art of the Daoist school. It was also the method Grandmaster Subhuti called bodily sanctification, containing many profound mysteries such as the Seventy-Two Transformations, Dharma Heaven and Earth, and the projection of the primordial spirit.

When Yu Ding taught Yang Jian the Eight Nine Arcane Art, he had once said, "Master the wonders within Eight Nine, and you may roam freely through the world."

It could evade the Three Calamities, take a beating, and dish one out just as well. It perfectly met Adam's demands.

The two cultivation arts Adam had learned from Grandmaster Subhuti were mainly meant to raise his realm. Though Adam also wanted to learn divine abilities for battle, he knew he had to eat one bite at a time.
