Adam raised the Devouring Demon Jar and suspended it in midair, then sat cross-legged beneath its cover in a patch of fireless ground.
The Stone Gate awaiting refinement flew out from the Sea of Bitterness, carrying the materials meant to be fused into it.
The Stone Gate had always received the best fare, and it was not left out of this division of spoils either—
All kinds of stone skins cut open along the way went to it, along with the Immortal Exquisite Stone said to be capable of evolving an immortal scripture in the Immortal Domain, as well as several other stone materials stained with the essence blood of the Ancient Myriad Races. Several more figures appeared upon the reliefs carved into the gate.
Finally, Adam fused the sacred spirit within the stone that had accompanied the Dragon-Pattern Black Gold Sword into the Stone Gate.
A Sacred Spirit's state within stone was incomparably blessed. Its cultivation naturally grew as it was nurtured by heaven and earth, and once it was born, it would possess cultivation at the peak of the quasi-emperor realm. It was also born with mastery over many heaven-defying laws and divine abilities.
"Sure enough, as long as this power is handled carefully, it can be preserved."
That power beloved by heaven and earth, directly touching the Dao rhythms of heaven and earth and receiving their nurturing... had been fused into the Stone Gate. Unfortunately, perhaps because this Sacred Spirit in stone had died too early, the power was far too incomplete.
Even so, this was already quite satisfying.
In Adam's original plan, this had been the best possible outcome. If it had failed, he could only have turned the Sacred Spirit in stone into a relief on the gate, like the demon blood stone.
