A gigantic flowering plant, about three meters tall, stood in the middle of the exhibition hall. Its stem was short, and its blossoms rested against the ground. The petals spread more than ten meters across, layered upon one another. Both the stamens and petals were transparent; only the stem was white. From a distance, it looked like a piece of exquisite glasswork.
A staff member was introducing the enormous flower.
"...It comes from Bai Xia Grand Canyon and was discovered by a botanist, who named it Snow City's Most Beautiful. As you can see, it is the finest specimen among the plants selected for this exhibition. Plants of this size usually don't have such crystal-clear petals and stamens. Even more remarkable is that it hasn't been altered by human hands at all—it grew entirely in the darkness of Zone 002!"
The staff member's enthusiastic delivery earned a round of applause. When it died down, he continued, "Besides being completely natural and exceptionally rare, Snow City's Most Beautiful has another very unusual attraction. I'm sure many of you have heard about it and have already seen it. To be honest, I've watched it more than once myself, but no matter how many times you see the beauty gifted by nature, it still takes your breath away!"

As the staff member left the stage, the space passage in the center of the hall slowly opened. Sunlight shone through the gap and fell upon the gigantic flower. The plant seemed unable to tolerate the light; the instant it touched it, the petals curled inward. But the very next second, they all spread open again, catching a chunk of meat that dropped from the inspection passage above!
