It had even been enough to talk the lip-pierced player and the others out of thinning the competition. All it had taken was a simple reason. Under normal circumstances, such an unconvincing excuse wouldn't have been enough to make more than a dozen players back down. It had been unexpectedly easy, and he'd done it without drawing attention.
