Low-Energy Killing
There was nothing above him.
But out of reflex, and still within a safe distance, the crew-cut Player instinctively lowered his head. In that split second, he felt something prick his neck. His eyes locked onto the person opposite him as he reached up and touched it. There was a little blood on his fingers. The next moment, he toppled to the ground. As he hit the ground, another Xu Huo appeared in his peripheral vision!
There was shock and confusion in the crew-cut Player's eyes. He wanted to look up and get a better look, but he had no strength left. The poison quickly knocked him unconscious, and he would likely never wake up again.
Xu Huo, standing beside him, confirmed that he was dead before taking out a Land Jellyfish and crushing it against the man's neck. Then he glanced in the direction Zhou Yuanzhu had fled and followed her with his sword in hand.
Xu Huo had dealt with one Player with ease, but Zhou Yuanzhu was struggling to escape the four Players who were toying with her. One against four was too much, and she couldn't possibly have as many items in reserve as all four of them combined. In just three minutes of fighting, she had already used up more than half of her Attack Artifacts and Defense Artifacts that needed time to cool down.
Of course, she didn't need many items that could get the job done; a few that she could use repeatedly would suffice. But as time went on, she began to feel the strain. The four Players attacking her had far more items in reserve than she did, and their combat experience was no worse than hers. Two of them were Cannibal Players.
