Bring Out Something Real
Jiang and Zheng still found it hard to believe. This completely overturned their understanding of this high-risk Dungeon.
"I still can't believe this was deliberately done by someone," Zheng Da said.
"If it wasn't, then the only possibility left is that something is wrong with Little River City itself," Xu Huo said. "Although that doesn't fit at all with the rest of this high-risk Dungeon, it's not entirely impossible that a city like this exists here."
"But that brings us back to my earlier question. If staying in Little River City carries the risk of being 'disappeared,' why can't a few dozen people just live somewhere else? They could solve the problem with a Location item, if nothing else."
"Don't tell me you're reluctant to leave because of all the non-Players in Little River City?"
That did seem reasonable, but Jiang Wenzhang still objected. "Since we've found a way to avoid the risk, staying in Little River City is the safest option."
"That makes sense too," Xu Huo said. "But I'm more curious about why the rules of this high-risk Dungeon only target Players."
Jiang Wenzhang couldn't refute that. They had previously tried bringing ordinary people into the Commercial Building, but even when someone disappeared, Players still made up most of the missing.
Of course, Xu Huo's theory that the disappearances were connected to Players didn't rest entirely on those two points. There was also the fact that Mr. Kang insisted on linking the disappearances with the arrival of outside Players.
In reality, the two things had little to do with each other. Even if they were connected, it was hardly significant to either the Players from Little River City or the outsiders. In other words, this supposed cause-and-effect relationship could neither inevitably lead the Players
