A Good Samaritan Who Stood Up for What Was Right
Xu Huo said nothing. He took a sip of wine and looked out the window at the children running and playing in the courtyard. One of the faster children accidentally bumped into a man coming out of the Private Room next door.
The adult was fine, but the child fell onto his bottom. He didn't cry, though. He got back up and apologized to the man. "I'm sorry, Uncle. I bumped into you..."
Before he could finish, the man lifted him up with one hand and held him in front of a face tattooed with a Skull. "I hate brats. Whose little bastard is this?"
A couple came out. From their clothes and bearing, they were clearly rich and powerful. Even so, they spoke cautiously to the man. "He's just a child and doesn't know any better. Please don't hold it against him."
"A child?" The man remained unmoved as the boy struggled in his grip. His gaze roamed over the child's mother. "He's six or seven. That's not so little... Is he really yours? With that slim waist and those narrow hips, you don't look like you've ever had a kid."
The child's father stepped in front of his wife, suppressing his anger. "Please put my child down. He's going to suffocate if you keep this up! The owner of this restaurant is a Player too. I doubt you can cause trouble on his turf!"
The tattoo-faced man chuckled. "The owner's a Player. Are you one too? You want your son, right? Here!"
With that, he tossed the child forward. The couple hurried to catch him, but the man suddenly dragged the mother into his arms. He nuzzled into her hair and inhaled deeply, looking intoxicated. "Women from rich
