Safe Zone Attack Incident
The news that Xu Huo had vanished from the Safe Zone was reported to Special Defense Department headquarters immediately. But Minister Fan was already overwhelmed by the mounting evidence appearing online, and had no spare manpower to investigate where he had gone.

The night of the first day of the Lunar New Year was bound to be another sleepless one. It wasn't just Special Defense Department personnel who were on the move. Those who had already been arrested, or were about to be, were also scrambling. They had already worked their way into the department when it began building and requisitioning facilities on a large scale.
These weren't people Special Defense Department could arrest just because it wanted to. That included the team leaders who had attended the meeting the day before. Who knew who stood behind them, or who they were secretly in contact with?
But Special Defense Department couldn't offend everyone at once, nor could it really afford to offend
