The underground trading market lived up to its name. It really was underground.
"Flower City manages the city so strictly. How did an underground trading market get established?" Xu Huo asked as they walked along the underground tracks and entered a disused passage.
"It wasn't hard," Jiao Cheng said. "Ordinary Players aren't the only ones who want to trade in prohibited goods. If you've got connections up top, doing business down here is easy. Besides, this place isn't something they can search whenever they want."
He pointed to a device near the entrance. "That thing is specifically designed to deal with flying surveillance cameras. It blinds them in this area."
Xu Huo glanced at it, then swept his eyes over the two Players nearby.
There were no tracks in this special passage hidden underground, but new passageways branched off at regular intervals. Unlike the main passage, which was over twenty meters wide, these were only wide enough for three people to walk abreast. The "shops" here were set up at the entrances to the smaller passages.
A quick look was enough to tell that some of these passageways were separate, while others intersected. Like branches growing from a tree trunk, they connected one after another, covering a vast area. There were plenty of escape routes.
Players could change their appearances relatively easily, so almost no one bothered to cover their faces. Instead, they altered their height and build.
Apparently, setting up a stall in the main passage was against an unwritten rule. Some people even fought over the entrance to a smaller passage, though the people around them soon "talked them down."
Besides buyers and sellers, there was another kind of person in the passages. They went from stall to stall, showed some kind of proof, then picked up a
