The rowdy bar disappeared, replaced by a simple, comfortable-looking room. Their positions had changed, too. Xu Huo now sat in the leather chair, while Brother Le sat opposite him across a desk. The narrow chair didn't look very comfortable.
Brother Le shifted in his seat but didn't get up. He stared at Xu Huo's face, as if trying hard to remember something. "I don't know you. Who are you?"
"This is our first time meeting today. You've forgotten? You were the one who came looking for me," Xu Huo said.
"I came looking for you?" Brother Le looked utterly bewildered, clearly with no memory of it at all. The Potion had dulled his thoughts, and for a moment, he didn't realize anything was amiss. Instead, he followed up with, "What did I come to see you for?"
"Do you remember what you went through before?" Xu Huo opened a notebook and looked at him. "I know the passage of time has taken a heavy toll on you, and revisiting your memories is painful. But it's the only way to find the right treatment. Please try your best to remember."
Brother Le's thoughts followed Xu Huo's prompting. An expression of barely contained distress came over his face, and he grew irritable. "I don't want to talk about it again. You're the psychiatrist, so you should figure something out instead of bothering me over and over!"
