The number tag that had fallen to the floor was quickly forgotten. Xu Huo bent down to pick it up, slipped it into his pocket, and followed the Server to a table.
Since the restaurant was crowded, later arrivals had to share tables. Not everyone was so easygoing, though. The Server had found them a table occupied by two fierce-looking, hostile-eyed big men. The moment the chair was pulled out, the man on the left rested an ornate pistol on its back and jerked his chin, signaling them to find another table.
The Server smiled. "Bauhinia Restaurant allows guests to share tables."
The man with the gun opened his mouth to say something, but the other man stopped him. "Since it's the restaurant's rule, we shouldn't break it. If the newcomers ask to switch tables themselves, that should be fine, right?"
"Of course," the Server replied.
The man then looked at Xu Huo and Dai Song. His meaning was clear.
Dai Song was about to step forward, but Xu Huo caught him by the arm. "Let's forget it. Switching tables isn't a big deal."
Dai Song wasn't about to let it go. This wasn't about whether it was a big or small matter. There were at least fifty or sixty people in the restaurant. If they backed down without a word, outsiders would think they were pushovers and everyone would want to take a turn picking on them. Then the trouble would never end. How were they supposed to clear the dungeon and leave?
"Let it go," Xu Huo repeated. "It'd be a shame to damage the restaurant's things."
Dai Song was quick-witted, too. He immediately played along. "We can always pay the full price... This place isn't a scam, is it?"
