The Limping Butcher had a bloody hole in his forehead from Xu Huo's blow. It was only natural that he held a grudge. During the hour Xu Huo rested, the man had passed by his doorway at least twice. The Raincoat Cleaner, on the other hand, hadn't shown up again after leaving.
Xu Huo didn't plan to go out again that night, so he simply went to sleep in his room. He also sent a message reminding the others to watch out for the employee in high heels who could enter their rooms.
The restaurant opened at eight in the morning, and Xu Huo went out right on time. He walked around the hexagonal corridor. Near the large Warehouse, a passage leading straight to the restaurant had appeared, close to the Back Kitchen.
The two passages that had appeared the previous night—one near the main entrance and one by the Back Kitchen—had vanished, but their locations hadn't changed much. The entire restaurant had simply grown several times larger.
Twelve people had come out before him. He found a seat, and more Players emerged one after another.
The restaurant looked no different from the day before, except that "Today's Best" on the blackboard had changed from venison soup to pork shoulder patties.
Maris, the baseball cap female player, Xiao Wan, and a few others had already come out. They walked straight over and took the empty seats beside him.
"Why pork shoulder patties?" Xiao Wan asked quietly. "Isn't Today's Best based on the number of votes? How many people voted for pork shoulder patties yesterday?"
Xu Huo had arrived around noon the day before, by which point at least half the people had already eaten breakfast and lunch. Most of the votes, however, had been cast in the afternoon and evening.
