Take a Breather
There were at least six free arenas on the first floor. Arena No. 25 was unusually lively. Even before they went in, they could hear deafening noise, with chants like "Rip her clothes off!" and "Pull her pants down!" mixed in.
"The fight's getting good!" Li Kun pushed open the door. A wave of stale air hit them, and beams of light swept across the audience before quickly converging on the two fighters in the center ring.
A prop barrier surrounded the ring. Except for the referee and the contestants, everyone was kept five meters away by an invisible prop barrier. The circular stands surrounded the ring, giving spectators a clear view of everything from every angle. Even so, plenty of them had jumped out of their seats and were leaning against the barrier, shouting at the fighters.
Xu Huo glanced at the ring.
One fighter was a pretty young female player. She was clearly not in her first match; she had several injuries and was panting as she took a Potion.
The man facing her was in much worse shape. A blood vessel in his thigh had burst, and despite emergency treatment, a great deal of blood was still pouring from the wound. He really ought to go to a hospital in that condition.
"Can you even fight?"
"If you can't, get off the ring!"
"You can't even beat a woman? You're an embarrassment to us men!"
"You're bleeding so much—at least tear a piece of cloth off someone to bandage it! Useless!"
The spectators kept yelling. Quite a few of them hurled obscenities at the female player, as if they could reach out through the air and her clothes to touch her.
The female player casually tossed the empty bottle out of the ring
