The other party hadn't sent text. They'd sent a video.
Xu Huo tapped it open. At first, all he saw was darkness. Faint footsteps and breathing could be heard, and the person filming seemed to be doing so while in a state of extreme tension.
The darkness lasted about half a minute before a dim light finally appeared.
The faint light offered a glimpse of the filmer's surroundings. It looked like an old corridor, with bare brick walls on both sides. After the camera wobbled, it pointed ahead, where an open area could be seen about twenty meters away.
The filmer grew even more cautious and slowed down.
After covering those twenty meters, the camera turned to the right. A three-meter-tall, circular container floated in midair. In the dim light, Xu Huo could make out that it was filled with green liquid, and something enormous, shaped like an egg, was submerged inside.
But it wasn't an egg. It was a white substance resembling an eggshell, and when the camera edged closer, something beneath the shell pulsed like blood vessels. It was alive.
The filmer could be heard swallowing nervously, then slowly moved to the other side of the glass container:
The corridor's lighting was already dim, presumably to help the monster sleep peacefully. The side facing away from the corridor was even darker. Even so, Xu Huo could make out the head in the middle of the "giant egg." From behind, what looked like a single, intact eggshell was actually two enormous wings, wrapped around the monster's body, one above the other. Its head looked a little like that of a person who had wasted away, but it had a pair of pointed ears and fangs too long for its mouth to contain. Its eyes bulged, making it look somewhat
