Xu Huo walked forward, and the raincoat-wearing player followed. Along the way, he introduced himself.

His name was Wen Dachui. He worked in hotel management, was twenty-five, and unmarried. He'd had three boyfriends and three girlfriends, and believed in platonic love. All six of his former partners had died by his hand.

"Do you have a habit of killing your exes?" Xu Huo asked, curious about his state of mind.

"It was just a breakup, nothing serious, nothing serious," Wen Dachui said, hurriedly waving his hands. "I killed them because they deserved to die."

"So I have to make them understand that betraying love comes at a price."

Xu Huo nodded slightly. "You're certainly committed to your beliefs."

Seeing that Xu Huo hadn't reacted strangely, Wen Dachui grew even more animated. "How about I tell you how they died? I gave each of them a different punishment!"

Xu Huo made it clear he wasn't interested, then said, "You could consider dating a player."

Wen Dachui shook his head. "Dating a player is pointless. If they run off, where are you supposed to find them? Besides, whether they die or not isn't the point. What matters is that they give me a reason to hate them."

That did make a certain kind of sense.
