The two returned to the bar. Although it was daylight, the heavy rain hadn't let up, and water had pooled on the streets. The downpour had also damaged some areas, making it hard to spot any obvious changes.
At least, that was how it seemed to Wen Dachui.
"Nothing seems wrong." He even went into the bar to check.
Xu Huo retraced the route they had taken the previous night and finally found a section of wall that had been slashed by a sharp object.
"Just a little mark. Wasn't it there yesterday?" Wen Dachui hadn't noticed it at all.
"It wasn't there when we passed by," Xu Huo said. "But that doesn't prove this place was refreshed because of the mirror space. Another player could have left it afterward."
"What good does that do us?" Wen Dachui said, unimpressed. "We'd be better off hiding somewhere until my item's twenty-four-hour cooldown ends. Then I'll take you out with me."
Xu Huo glanced at him. "Can you tell which places are in Xiaoyue City and which are in the mirror space?"
Wen Dachui had no answer. He scratched his head. "Then what do we do?"
"Keep moving. We'll find some clues eventually," Xu Huo said.
"Isn't your space device any use?" Wen Dachui pointed at the thing on his wrist. "Can't it detect the mirror space?"
That was exactly the problem. In theory, if different spaces merged, Cube Space should change. After all, it would have to adapt to the new rays, and that was a significant difference. Yet when the two special forces passed through him once last night and again today, the range of Cube Space hadn't changed. Nor had the spatial interference device had any practical effect. At the very least, its interference hadn't caused any spatial-ray fluctuations
