Time passed slowly. Xu Huo had only just solved the first layer of the puzzle ball, and not even half an hour had gone by. He hadn't tried to muffle the sounds, but none of the people asleep in the room reacted. Chi Xian, on the other hand, noticed that no new markers had appeared on the map and called to check on him.
"Find a few people and run an experiment. I won't be moving for now. How are things on your end?"
Chi Xian yawned. "I can still hold out. I don't know if I'll start nodding off again after daybreak tomorrow. Too bad I haven't run into anyone from Shiyao Island; I could've learned more about the situation. If I really can't stay awake, I'll rest near the last place I marked. If I haven't contacted you by daybreak, you have to come find me."
"No problem," Xu Huo agreed.
He had just put down the Paper Phone when two people came rushing toward him from a distance.
Xu Huo put away the puzzle ball and stepped outside, stopping them slightly. "What a coincidence. We meet again."
The two approaching were Young Master Mo and Scarred Glasses. The former frowned. "Why is it you again? Have you been following me?"
"What would I be following you for?" Xu Huo smiled. "We just happen to be heading in the same direction. What brings you two here?"
Young Master Mo had lost the calm, carefree air he'd had before. He said irritably, "Move."
"Sorry, but everyone inside is a new friend I just made. I can't exactly leave them in the hands of strangers." Xu Huo had no intention of moving aside. He even used a Defense Artifact to seal off the room.
