It seemed to be a simulated environment. Besides the operating table, there was a small whiteboard at the front of the room. It was blank, but a spiral staircase floated above the table. The tiny staircase was only a finger wide, yet its ends joined together, and it kept spinning. It looked a little like a DNA helix, and a little like a Möbius strip.
Of course, he hadn't overlooked the surroundings. This was an extremely bright operating room.
With the clatter of footsteps, a man in leather shoes and a white coat opened the door. He looked to be in his fifties or sixties. His naturally curly hair was tied back in a ponytail, with a white bow secured by a ribbon—a style that didn't quite suit his appearance.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Wu," the man greeted him first.
Hearing the introduction, Xu Huo felt as though everything had finally fallen into place. He had visited so many sub-districts and dungeons, always consciously or unconsciously searching for Dr. Wu. He hadn't expected the man to actually stand before him now, even if only as a virtual projection.
