Xu Huo grabbed the man's arm. After the man turned around with feigned surprise, Xu Huo smiled faintly. "I think you'd better give it back."
"What do you mean?" The baby-faced man tried to brush him off, but his companion blocked him.
The man composed himself and smiled. "Sir, I think there's been some misunderstanding?"
Xu Huo didn't say anything more. He merely flicked a Space Ray, removing the items worn by the two of them.
More than a dozen Space Rays darted off in different directions, carrying the items with them. The baby-faced man hurriedly snatched back three or four, while the man, held in Xu Huo's grip, managed to retrieve only one. The remaining dozen or so items swerved in midair and hovered behind Xu Huo.
For convenience, players often wore the items they found easiest to use. Buttons, ties, jewelry, shoes—any of them could be items. But anything worn on one's person could, of course, be stolen.
The two of them had used that "collision" to swipe one of Xu Huo's special items.
Before either side could say another word, robots had already gathered around them, asking whether there was a dispute.
"No, no," the man said at once. "We're exchanging items."
"Please refrain from actions that could easily be misunderstood, to avoid causing yourself losses." The robots backed away, but didn't go far.
The baby-faced man tried to circle around Xu Huo and snatch back the items, but after taking a single step, he froze. He instinctively reached up to touch the front of his neck. An invisible blade lay against his skin. The moment he touched it, his Glove was sliced open.
